How to Install gmap software package in Debian 7 (Wheezy)

gmap software package provides spliced and SNP-tolerant alignment for mRNA and short reads, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gmap 

gmap is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gmap package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmap *

You will get with gmap package name, version, architecture and description in a table
